Latest addition to L.A.’s Culinary Scene: “Hinterhof”

– First Vegan German Kitchen and Beer Garden Opened in Highland Park –

“Vegan” and “German” seem to be an oxymoron but not for first-time restaurateur Matthias Brandt and his partner Eric Funk who opened “Hinterhof” in January 2019, offering an all-vegan food menu that includes a lot of hearty German classics like pretzels, meatless sausages, Bratling, and Wienerschnitzel. Besides German imported beers like Köstritzer, they also offer 12 local craft-beers on tap which can be enjoyed on a spacious patio – at least when Los Angeles is finally blessed again with warm weather… Open every day from 5 PM – 10 PM, Hinterhof plans to offer breakfast and lunch as well soon.
