On Sunday, July 1st the Peoria German-American Central Society will be hosting their annual Volksfest at Hickory Grove Park from noon to 8 p.m. – free admission and parking. This is a family friendly event.
Volksfests or People’s Fests began in Germany. There is typically at least one Volksfest in many larger German cities each year. Stuttgart is considered to host the largest Volksfest in the world.
There will be live entertainment, a classic car and motorcycle parade, German gift tents, folk-dancing, German beer on tap, and so much more!
