Learn about Melchior and Adam Huebinger, two brothers from Germany who made their mark in Davenport, Iowa through their map making company M. Huebinger & Co.
The Huebingers were commissioned to prepare maps of the city of Davenport and the state of Iowa for exhibition at the World’s Fair held in Chicago in 1898. They prepared and published hundreds of atlas books, plats, record books and maps on cities and counties in Iowa and Illinois.
