Fast and Furious made in America powered by German engineering

The “Fast & Furious” films stand for plenty of car action and “Fast Five” delivers just that. It is a high octane thrill ride that is just what it is meant to be: fun.

Take a peak behind the scenes and enjoy a piece of German engineering:
Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Connor from the “Fast & Furious” movies drives a special Porsche in the fifth installment: Fast Five. Not really a GT3 RS as the graphics package might lead you to believe, it’s actually a 996-series 911 Carrera 2 with a graphics package and new wheels.

Fast Five Picture Car Coordinator Dennis McCarthy says: “We didn’t really have to do anything to the 911, it had plenty of power to do what we wanted. We welded up the spider gear in the rear differential so it would be locked and that was about it.”
