In the frame of the “Year of German-American Friendship” initiative in 2018/19 in the U.S. the Goethe Pop Up Minneapolis will occupy a space in the city’s futuristic Skywaysystem that was constructed in the 1960s. This 18-kilometer-long private (but perceived as public space) artificial gangway and pedestrian bridge network is still the longest of its kind in the world today.
