Our TV tip for this week is the quirky comedy “Neue Vahr Süd” about 20-year old Frank Lehmann who still leads a very uneventful life with his parents in Bremen – Neue Vahr. It is year 1980 and Frank is being drafted to join the “Bundeswehr”, the army of the Federal Republic of Germany. At the same time, he moves in with a few friends who are all politically rather leftists. Frank’s life from now on is a mind-boggling commute between strictly following orders and the chaotic world of his communist friends.
