The Sandy Shores of Sylt

At almost 40 square miles, Sylt is the fourth-largest island in Germany and one of the most popular vacation destinations for Germans. In the summer, the 25 miles of sandy beaches provide the perfect playground for water sport enthusiasts, and are home to the annual Windsurfing World Cup. Back on the mainland, vacationers can explore the generous golf courses and relax in one of the many spas. Sylt is also loved by young people for its vibrant nightlife. The island offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars, ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to beach-side bistros.
