The founders and executive producers, Marion and Attila Glatz, both with roots in Hungary and Austria, have always dreamt of bringing the enchantment of Vienna and its great tradition of the Musikverein’s Neujahrskonzert to their friends and neighbours in Canada and the United States.
“We ourselves have been continually inspired by the magic of this city,” write Marion and Attila Glatz in the Founders’ Note on their website, “and it has been our mission and pleasure to play a part in ensuring this vibrant musical heritage is alive and well here at home in North America.”
Salute to Vienna is a re-creation of Vienna’s Neujahrskonzert, an annual event in Vienna for eight decades produced by the Vienna Philharmonic and televised around the world.”

German World has been lucky to experience Salute to Vienna in previous years in New York and in Los Angeles. Resplendent with dazzling costumes, beautiful floral arrangements, and lovely ballet and ballroom dancing choreography, Salute to Vienna is more than a concert. It is an unforgettable event which touches the heart.
