LA: Conference Program: Sequencer Tour on Oct. 30 – Nov. 5

As part of the Sequencer Tour, re:publica and Reeperbahn Festival are hosting an exciting event in Los Angeles as part of the Year of German-American Friendship (“Deutschlandjahr USA”), an initiative funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, implemented by the Goethe-Institut, and with support from the Federation of German Industries (BDI). The Sequencer Tour Los Angeles is designed to connect local and international influencers in digital society, music, culture, and politics into a transatlantic digital society. As yet, interactions between German and American activists, economic influencers and digital society members are still limited. This event aims to foster this discussion.

Curated by re:publica, the conference programme focuses on two main topics: The “Politics & Society” track looks at “Progressive Movements” amongst other topics. The “Leisure & Lifestyle” track focuses on topics such as digital sovereignty, digital culture, and digital social justice. Reeperbahn Festival will put on an international showcase night featuring up-and-coming bands and artists from Germany, the US, and other countries. Music Matches with a focus on synch will bring together representatives from the German music industry and American colleagues.
