Come and celebrate Jesus Christ’s victory over death in Glendale on Easter Sunday, April 21 at 10:30 A.M.
It is Christ’s victory over death, his opening up eternity to us through his humble acceptance of the folks common human lot, that everyone will celebrate. The event will be followed by a children’s Easter Egg Hunt.
There was no avoiding the cross for Jesus, and there is no avoiding it for his those who would be his disciples. But the good news, the gospel promise, is resurrection on the other side of the cross, Easter Sunday after Good Friday. Resurrection, new life on the other side of death, even in the midst of death: this is the holy mystery that grounds the faith of the church.
