German Currents Los Angeles Film Festival 2016

On Thursday, October 20th, German Currents kicked off its four-day film festival with opening film “Me and Kaminski” at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. This year the film festival, produced by the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles and the American Cinematheque, celebrated its 10th edition of showcasing the best of recent German cinema in Los Angeles.

The German company ARRI, a global supplier of motion picture film equipment, got the celebration started with a pre-screening reception they hosted in honor of the German filmmakers and actors in town for the festival as well as other local VIP attendees. Representatives from both Berlin and Los Angeles were present to welcome them to Los Angeles.
