Join the Goethe-Institut Washington for their Berlin Dance Party with Alex Barck on Thursday, November 10 from 8 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.! Alex Barck rose to fame as a member of DJ/producer collective Jazzanova, founder of the Sonar Kollektiv label in the late 90’s. Early gigs at now-infamous clubs like Delicious Doughnuts led to his playing almost every renowned club on this planet—naturally including Berlin landmarks Cookies, Watergate and Panorama Bar. A passionate and often revolutionary DJ for over twenty years, Alex Barck has also compiled several acclaimed and trendsetting series in the downtempo, jazztronica, and chillout genres.
DC’s Urban Artistry hip-hop dancers will kick off the party. German refreshments will be served.
This event is hosted by the German Embassy and the Goethe-Institut Washington in honor of the myriad, vibrant ties forged through transatlantic exchange programs.
Location: Goethe-Institut Washington, 1990 K Street, NW (entrance on 20th Street), Washington, DC 20006
