GABA and the German Consulate present this opportunity to meet leading professionals from Europe and the U.S. who will share their views of next year’s overall global business climate and outlook for international technology companies.
The year is coming to a close that has seen major disruptions on a global basis, politically as well as from business and social perspectives.
A global economy with slowing growth that may be teetering on the brink of a recession, a major trade conflict between the US and China, the never ending Brexit saga, and significant political and social tensions in Asia, Europe, South America and the US, are key drivers affecting the economic and financial outlook for 2020.
The global technology sector is exhibiting solid growth as cloud business and artificial intelligence are seeing increasing adoption. The VC community is flush with cash and ever larger financial bets are made, at times chasing businesses that may not have a clear path to profitability. At the same time, regulatory agencies are considering playing a larger role to reign in the political influence and personal data monetization of social media networks.
With the stock market indices at historic highs despite all of this uncertainty, we are particularly excited to discuss the 2020 Global Outlook with our panelists.
It has become a tradition that the Global Business Outlook event concludes GABA’s event season and is hosted in the festive atmosphere of the German Consulate General in San Francisco.
