German producer Bernd Eichinger, the man behind such Oscar-nominated films like “The Downfall” and “The Baader Meinhof Complex” died suddenly of a heart attack during a dinner at his home in Los Angeles on January 24, 2011.
The 61-year-old producer, some of his biggest hits were: “The Fantastic Four”, “Resident Evil”, “The Name of the Rose”, “Perfume – The Story of a Murder”, is survived by his wife Katja a journalist and his daughter Nina a TV personality and jury member of the German version of American Idol.
