The State of Bavaria in Germany is known for often doing “its own thing” but reaching for the Moon and the Mars seems to be quite ambitious – even for the former Kingdom of Bavaria.
And yet, it is true: Bavaria wants to launch its own space program – Bavaria One – and to build its own hyperloop track. With regards to the latter, the state officials are certainly in good hands thanks to the success of the Technische Universität München at the hyperloop competition, hosted by Elon Musk, this year in California. The students from the TU in Munich ranked first, leaving competitors from MIT and Switzerland behind.
