The Choral Arts Philadelphia’s season entitled “1734-1735: A SEASON IN THE LIFE OF J.S. BACH” will come to a close during their finale concert on April 26th. The choir will perform the Ascension Oratorio by J.S. Bach.
During this concert season, the Choral Arts Philadelphia presented the complete cycle of all of the 18 surviving cantatas written and/or performed by Johann Sebastian Bach while he was choir director of St. Thomas Church and School in Leipzig during the 1734/35 liturgical year.
