The 11th-annual celebration will take over the 700 block of South Street with food, drinks, dancers and live music, all free and open to the public; limited VIP tickets are available now
On Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., Philadelphia’s most authentic German bierhall, Brauhaus Schmitz, will host Maifest, their 11th-annual Spring block party. Open to the public.
Maifest has quickly become a beloved annual tradition of food, drinks and live music; it is free to attend, with pay-as-you-go Food and Beer, and limited VIP Tickets.
VIP Tickets include a flavorful appetizer buffet, served from 12 noon until 6 p.m., along with access to private restrooms, a liter mug, six tokens good for a beer or food item each ($100 per person).

There will also be pay-as-you-go food options, including: Pig Roast, Bratwurst (traditional pork sausage) and Speckwurst (bacon sausage); as well as an array of delicious pay as you go beer, by
some of the top German Breweries. In addition, traditional German dancers will perform between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., with live music from Heimatklänge from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. and FLOWER CROWNS for purchase. The festival shuts down the 700 block of South Street, where Brauhaus Schmitz is located, to traffic, making it a family- and pedestrian-family affair that lasts throughout the day and into the evening.
