The Annual Cincinnati Schützenfest – America’s Longest Running German Fest Seit 1866 – kicks off this year on July 21 and runs until the 23rd! Schützenfest, which translates to “Marksmen’s Fest”, is a traditional German festival that dates back to medieval times.
This year, the Schützenfest will be featuring their NEW Schützenfest Kölsch Beer brewed in partnership with Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. Other new features include: a special soccer skills event put on by the Kolping Soccer Club and FC Cincinnati, a new public shooting event participated in by local German clubs, new homemade dinners including Jägerschnitzel, Spätzle and Bavarian Goulasch, and limited edition steins and hat pins. There will also be GRAMMY-nominated artists providing live entertainment!
