Meet the great German scientists, Leibniz and Kepler among others, whose discoveries helped lay the intellectual foundations of the Enlightenment.
They will also discuss the emancipation of the serfs and the Jews in the late 18th and 19th centuries, and what effect this would later have on urbanization, the industrial revolution as well as immigration to America.
