The historical significance of Martin Luther’s challenge to the authority and teachings of Rome has long been the subject of intense debate. The 500th anniversary of the publication of Luther’s “Ninety-five Theses” offers occasion to revisit the question of the meaning of the Reformation for the present.
On Thursday, December 7, the German Historical Institute will present their last lecture in this series entitled “Writing in Stressful Times: The Anxieties of Authorship during the Reformation”. This lecture will be presented by Ann Blair from Harvard University.
