In a clash of cultures Red Bull Flying Bach turns the international classical music world upside down. World champion German b-boy crew Flying Steps visualises and revives Johann Sebastian Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier in a creative performance that combines classical music and urban culture. Note by note. Step by step. With piano, harpsichord and electronic beats. The performance’s unique fusion has garnered national and international recognition.
After the 2010 premiere in Berlin’s Neue Nationalgalerie and following tours in Germany, Australia and Japan, Red Bull now brings their success to five different cities around the U.S. Their U.S. destinations in 2017 are Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.
Red Bull Flying Bach features Germany’s Flying Steps, a four time break-dance world champion and award-winning dance team which was founded in 1993 by Vartan Bassil and is comprised of more than 35 professional dancers.
