Once again, students from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg will conclude their “Summer Academy” in Los Angeles with a student film showcase entitled “FILM Low Budget – High Energy” at the Goethe-Institut. The evening offers the students an opportunity to screen highlights of their past years’ productions for friends and Goethe-Institut patrons.
Since its founding in 1990 in the heart of a media center in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart, the Filmakademie has become one of the most successful and high–profile film schools in Germany. Due to its strong focus on hands-on filmmaking, their close working-relationship to the industry and their innovative department of animation the school has been turning out award-winning student films galore.
A reception will follow the evening’s program. A detailed program will be made available before the screening.
Date and time: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. August 24, 2017
