The cultural connection between the glamour of Weimar-era Berlin and the development of the Hollywood glamour aesthetic in the 1930s is explored by Hollywood photographer Matthew Rolston as he presents his 1980s retrospective book and exhibition, Hollywood Royale.
Rolston frames fascinating connections between such creators and artists as Josef von Sternberg, Marlene Dietrich, Helmet Newton, George Hurrell and Andy Warhol, as he traces the history of Hollywood glamour.
The exhibit will be on view from March 2 through April 21, 2018.
Location: Fahey/Klein Gallery, Los Angeles, 148 N La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036
