Barbara Gasser voted into the Hollywood Foreign Press

Congratulations to our former contributor Barbara Gasser for being voted into the Hollywood Foreign Press. The Hollywood Reporter writes:
Kirpi Uimonen Ballesteros, Barbara Gasser and Mirai Konishi have joined the organization that hands out the Golden Globe Awards each January, HFPA president Philip Berk says.

In an interview the Austrian journalist especially thanked the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for accepting her as their new member. In particular Elisabeth Sereda for welcoming and supporting her application as well as her sponsors Yoram Kahana and Ramzi Malouki and her previous sponsor Anke Hofmann.

Mag. Barbara Gasser is a multiple Award winning journalist, one of Austria’s top film journalists and member of the AFCG – Austrian Film Critics’ Guild, the national representation for the FIPRESCI – International Association of Film Critics, Ms. Gasser also covers major political events in the United States. Barbara Gasser holds a Masters Degree in Communication and Politial Science from the University of Vienna, Austria. Prior to her career as journalist, Ms. Gasser served eight years in the Austrian Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
