The Hollywood Police Activities League Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 11th Annual Hollywood PAL Awards Benefit Gala on Wednesday, October 8th from 6-9pm at the Taglyan Grand Ballroom in Hollywood. This year’s Gala will be themed all around Oktoberfest and will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of PAL, whose mission of keeping young people out of trouble by encouraging a trusting relationship between kids and police officers and providing positive alternatives to gangs and drugs, has remained unchanged since 1914. All proceeds raised from this event will be used to provide enrichment activities and fund PAL’s ongoing crime prevention programs for children ages 6-17 in Hollywood.
With PAL being funded entirely by contributions from local individuals, companies, foundations and grants, the Annual PAL Awards Gala is Hollywood PAL’s main fundraiser for the year, bringing together businesses, residences, government leaders and LAPD for the purpose of creating and sustaining a safer community. The ceremony will honor PAL’s 2014 Community Leadership Award recipients: Maureen Schultz of Capitol Records and Brian Stewart of The AmGraph Group.
With this year’s Gala themed around Oktoberfest, PAL will be incorporating some exciting elements into their celebration. In true German form, the evening will feature German folk dancers, accordion music, oversized pretzels, a traditional German feast and indoor beer garden. With California being the new hot spot for craft beers, Ballast Point, Blue Palms, Firestone Walker and Golden Road Breweries are hosting the beer garden by bringing their German inspired craft-beers.
Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on Silent and Live Auction items throughout the evening, with items that range from box seats at the Hollywood Bowl to dinner with Hollywood’s Captain Peter Zarcone in Hannibal Lector’s jail cell at the Hollywood Museum. Additionally, the event will feature its’ first ever Auction Wine Wall which will allow guests to bid on wrapped bottles of wine ranging in value from $25 to $500 and purchase the surprise of a great bottle of wine.
Table sponsorships for this popular event are available at $3000, $5500, $10,000, and $25,000 levels and include one table of 10 and a full-page ad in the tribute journal. Individual tickets are available for $250, as well as tribute journal ad and general contribution opportunities.
